Does anyone have any resources, notes, or anything really for help losing weight? I caught a glimpse of myself today (usually keep the mirrors in my house/room covered cause of self image issues) and i'm disgusted with my appearance.

I feel i'm too fat, amongst a ton of other issues. So i wanted to see if anyone had ideas/systems/resources to help lose weight.

I was mia for 13 years so for me that is off the table; as the feeling is a bit of a trigger.

was thinking something like ana instead, but I would like to know how to suppress my appetite or hunger.

any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Try cognitive behavioral therapy. Is your BMI actually above average? Going from bulimia to anorexia is like going from a bad thing to a worse thing...

as far as i'm concerned, I might as well weigh 300kg (i don't. but i feel/think i look like that. none of my clothes fit right, i feel gross every time I lay down or sit for a extended period.

to be honest, I haven't touched a scale in years. so… no idea on what I really weigh. I feel wary like i'd break any of them i'd try to step on.

i know my weight probably isn't as bad as I think

i go out and do outdoors stuff (fishing, hiking, you name it) on a almost weekly basis. or i'm exercising at home almost every other day

You keep saying you FEEL fat and have a history of self image issues. You also want to go about it using eating disorder techniques. This is not healthy and there us obviously something deeper going on here that disordered eating is not going to solve. 🫂

wouldn't it be better to change eating habits rather than losing weight? one will influence the other. you don't have to choose between two extremes. take your hormones, sleep patterns, water intake, and stress into consideration as well. as for appetite supression; a balanced meal with protein and fiber.

please post fish next time.

Are you really? There are a lot of ways to lose fat. Some are slower but safer, like regular exercise and avoiding fatty and sugary foods. Some are faster and more dangerous, like 2,4-Dinitrophenol. If you're losing weight to ensure your CTB method works, DNP would be a shout- in 1 week you'll lose a large amount of weight. However, it is very important that you avoid taking extremes and take care of your health, if you want to survive. Anorexia is not a path you want to be following in the long term.
