my planned ctb date is Sept 1st (VAD)
I'm trying to list out all the to-dos, if anything is missing please lmk!

(1) set up will and trust (for my pets)
(2) transport my pets to sanctuary, along with their medical records
(3) communicate with my will executor to make sure we are on the same page
(4) delete all my social media accounts
(5) set up an automatic email reply to explain what happened and redirect them to a PoC for information
(6) move my stuff to a storage and my car to a friend, and inform my beneficiary the location and contact info
(7) terminate all my existing subscriptions
(8) terminate my phone
(9) arrange delivery of my ashes (no funeral)
(10) schedule a farewell email to close friends

be careful with (3), (6)
(9) would cause suspicion for sure
the last thing you want is to be interrupted. are there other ways to do (9), through a note or scheduled email so that someone else can do it for you?

If you have anything on your computer that you don't want other people to see, delete it and empty your wastebasket. If you have anything that is very sensitive, it would be prudent to securely over-write your hard drive and any external devices such as USB memory sticks. (Otherwise, those files are potentially recoverable, though not by ordinary people - you need either a high level of tech skills or access to the kinds of software that law enforcement uses). If you're not sufficiently tech savvy to do that yourself, you can purchase software that will do it for you. You can PM me if you need more information on that. I don't want to advertise any particular product here.
