Other people can eat meat because it tastes good and that's enough to make them not care about where it actually came from. You eat meat and your brain enters this obsessive thought loop about the cow that never saw the light of day because its entire life was spent in a animal concentration camp. So you stop eating meat, and then you get endless playful jostling from people around you, because deep down they know how fucked the factory farming system is and seeing someone stand up against it challenges their own moral inaction a bit. You just grin and bear it.
You work at a well paying job, but your company only really exists to help the most evil companies on the planet be more efficient at pillaging the earth. Even though you're working with lots of conscientious people, no one else seems to really care much, because its a high status position in the eyes of society and it grants them lots of creature comforts. This time your complacency gnaws at you constantly, but you stay anyways because change scares you.
You're an effeminate same-sex attracted person and this has caused you immeasurable pain through every step of your life. You see lots of other people like you, but they always seem more comfortable with themselves than you are. If they do suffer, the narrative is almost always that it's because of some external pressure -- homophobia, minority stress, whatever. The source of your suffering feels much more inward. You can't help but recognize that love is just a mechanism to make people fuck and have kids, and some deep part of your lizard brain knows you're playing the game wrong. When your past partners treated you like shit, you have stray thoughts that maybe it's that same subliminal part of them recognizing you're nothing but an evolutionary dead-end and resenting you for it. If that's the case, can you really blame them?
