Jumping - eyes open or closed?

I can imagine stepping off with eyes closed, but not sure if the body would allow this when falling through panic.

Although this isn't my desired ctb method, I would definitely want my eyes closed. It would, like you said, probably be impossible for the body to allow this to happen through. If it were me, I'd get a sleeping mask to cover my eyes and super glue it to the back of my head lmao.

I don't think I'd ever use this method, but if I did, definitely eyes closed.
I was reading other comments and while it makes sense that the body would want to force the eyes open, I'd honestly be so fearful on the way down, I feel like I wouldn't be able to open my eyes!
Probably have me squeezed shut.

Jumping at night could help, so you wouldn't have to see where you're landing, as long as you choose a place where it isn't possible to land on anyone or their property (i.e. car). I wouldn't be able to keep my eyes open unless it was too dark to see.

Definitely eyes open. I definitely feel like it would be a beautiful way to go for me.especially if I was super high up I could see everything flash before me.I don't have fear about jumping. I haven't jumped because of SI, but that's it. It's my method of choice

One of my favorite feelings is the first drop on a roller coaster. One of my favorite rides in the world is Tower of Terror at Disneyland. I find it thrilling rather than terrifying.

I would like to say eyes open. But, I dunno. Amusement park rides usually don't have death waiting at the end. If I ever jump, will try to let you know on my way down!

Not a coward. It's fucking terrifying. No one in their right mind -and yes I realise the irony on a sucide site - would think it would be a peaceful way to go

Eyes closed for sure. I stood on top of one of the tallest buildings in my city, looked down and felt intense fear. Couldn't do it. As others have said, it is terrifying. Night time would also be ideal so that no one sees you and calls the authorities.

I would keep my eyes closed since I don't want to see the inevitable impact, but that's me. As far as my experiences with falling from a height, yes I too, did keep my eyes closed.
