Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

so I live near the Appalachian mountains where hundreds of people go missing. It's incredibly easy to get lost and die of exposure by walking even under a mile from a trail in certain conditions.

Right now this is mostly just a fantasy and not a solid plan but I do want to ctb in a few years. I'm not too concerned about pain; my main goals are to not traumatize my family or an innocent bystander and maybe to make my death seem like an accident

But I was wondering if, I took an uber near some random trail in the mountains in the winter without telling anyone, brought no supplies and insufficient clothing, and walked as far off the path for as long as I can, how likely would it be for me to be found? If I was found would my death be ruled an accident? I understand if I didn't die of hypothermia during the night I would probably pass away from dehydration within a couple days (probably less if I exerted myself "getting lost" but I don't know) and then my body would be scavenged by animals. I know my SI would probably kick in and I'd be scared in my final hours. I'm also a young underweight female with a history of mental illness as a teenager but my family thinks I've recovered, if that would provide any context to the way I would die or the way my disappearance would be investigated. Thanks to anyone who reads this
