If you wish to understand why I want to kill myself and experience death then I have a million reasons and for some of the major onces you can check my post history. Now the thing is I'm delaying my suicide since April. I bought the SN on that month and all is left is to collect the proper suitable anatacids and antiemetics some of which I still have or can easily order online already have painkillers or benzos whatever will be needed or sufficient. But whn I'm on the this site knowing that the people advising people about that sn plan have most likely died it's terrifying. I want to die. There is no hope for a person like me in this world. I can never be functional or do anything for myself let alone others. But the thought of death is very scary when you experience close to the unconsciousness like I did last time and your SI kicks like self strangulation. I could feel the consciousness leaving my body the figures in front of my eyes floating and knew if I pushed hard enough I maybe unconscious but the SI kicked in hard snd it was a rather impulsive thing last year anyways. Im 39 kgs with alot of defencies and extremely weak immunity, also anemic so ik for sure SN will definitely kill me.

So i want to choose for myself not for anybody else but for me and soley me to experience my unciousness that is close to dying. To wake up from it and survive it. Not like sleeping I dream alot when I'm sleeping I'm aware I'm sleeping, it's also not proper sleep. There must be a different sensestion ir realization for it when you're truly unconscious or dying. What is a plausible way I can experience something close to that and then decide ctb? I need it fast and ASAP before my birthday this time which is in the 23rd please help me. Cause I'm scared if I don't find any way soon, I will impulsively ctb like just consuming sn straight up which I really really don't want to anf will be a disgrace to all my survival efforts all these years. I wish I killed myself before I could truly conceptualize my consciousness, my living and my dying.

Ultimately it's MY LIFE. It wasn't my choice to be born but if it can be my choice to die then I'd prefer to do it carefully and with consideration for myself. I feel like even if I wanted to give life another try that I'm so fucking stubborn and such a fucking loser that I won't get it or realize till I experience some sort of a closer semblance to it.

I'm sorry life led you to this point. What you're going through sounds rough as hell.

Losing consciousness can feel really different depending on the cause and circumstances. There's no guarantee that your experience of losing consciousness will be similar to what you feel if/when you ctb.
Having said that - have you ever undergone anesthesia? Or fainted?
There's a way to induce syncope (fainting from lack of oxygen to the brain) by hyperventilating, then holding your breath. If this is something you're interested in, I can try to find a video on how to do it.

I imagine you could just throw a rope over a horizontal bar or tree and pull yourself up while it is around your neck. People say youll pass out in 10 seconds and youll fall to the ground. I have never tried this however and you should know that hangings can give wildly different results.

You do make a point that there is no guarantee if it the unconsciousness is the same as dying or not but it's the closest thing so far...Also the video you're talking about sounds like a good idea do you mind please sharing it?

OK. Warning: try at your own risk. Most people can do this without lasting effects, but there is a chance of health complications, especially for people with pre-existing medical conditions. Here's an example list of contraindications: https://www.breathenowhub.com/contraindications.html
Please do your own research and decide if trying it is right for you.

One way to induce syncope is this:

Method: squat, hyperventilate for a while, then take a deep breath in, hold it, and stand up.
IMPORTANT: to do this safely, you need someone to guide your fall, and a soft surface to land on. Otherwise you may get injured as you fall.

Another way is this:

It works less reliably, but with some effort and practice I've consistently passed out with it (occasionally even without meaning to).
You can lie down for this one, so there's no risk of falling.
(Note: the purpose of this video is health/emotional benefits of hypoxia, so the tone is 'love and gratitude', which may be a bit grating for where you are right now. But it shows the technique. It's not 'meant' to make you pass out, but if you do it hard enough, it'll likely have that effect.)
Method: you hyperventilate for a while, then take a deep breath in, hold it, and squeeze your abdomen/chest/core muscles as tight as you can. Keep squeezing for ~10 seconds, or until you feel maximally faint, then relax your body and breathe out.
If you feel the effects, but don't quite pass out, next time you can try one or more of:
  • take fuller breaths (you want full, deep breaths, not 'fast and shallow')
  • hyperventilate for longer before the breath hold (you can count your breaths - say, start with 30, if that's not enough try 50 next time, if that's not enough try 100, or whatever number you decide)
  • squeeze your muscles tighter on the breath hold
  • squeeze your muscles for longer, OR for a shorter time. (In my experience, you get maximum effect if you relax and exhale when you feel maximally faint and 'out of it'. If you're squeezing your muscles for too long, you might feel the effects start to fade, in that case squeeze for a shorter period next time.)

I wish you luck with whatever you decide to do.

I have passed out so I do relate with what your saying but the "feeling" of death will remain unkown since the dead can't tell us how it "feels" but please just don't ctb is never the answer and your not a loser I can already see that through your text dude or sis and please just please don't do it
Hi friend!
I appreciate that you mean well, and your heart is in the right place. But it things were as simple as "just don't do it", no one would be here.

If you genuinely want to help people who are suffering, please try to understand them first. Do your best to see where they're coming from, and the depth of their pain. Listen, don't preach.
If you disagree with something, make a point to try and understand it first, don't just push your opinion on others. If you genuinely understand (and respect) someone's position, then you might actually be able to help.
Saying generic words like "it's never the answer" is something most of us heard hundreds of times, and oftentimes it just makes people feel unheard and patronized.
Think of the last time someone gave you advice without even knowing your situation. It doesn't feel good and it doesn't help.

If you would genuinely like to learn better support skills, and/or to be more able to help people who are considering suicide, let me know, I can try to point you to some resources.
Otherwise, I'd suggest you direct your energy somewhere else - there's lots of other ways to do good in the world.

Thankyou so so much for the resources <33 and how do you wake up from it? Like does the body on it's own wakes up after hours or minutes or do you end up being hospitalized? I have never fainted before so I don't know...

The body wakes up on its own. It usually takes anywhere from a second or two, to a few minutes. You see it in the first video - when participants wake up and start counting.
How it feels varies wildly. You might wake up fully alert, or be dizzy, or have a period of disorientation, etc. Any effects should pass pretty quickly. Just take your time getting up, and don't do anything strenuous before you feel ready.
(As noted above, there is a small chance of more severe or lasting health consequences. It's uncommon but it can happen. No method of passing out is ever 100% safe. Try at your own risk, and plz do your own research if you need more info to help you decide.)

You're asking if there is anyway to simulate the experience of SN before doing it, or just death all around?

There is a collection of posts here from people who tried a little SN without trying to kill themselves. Most of them lived, some were never heard from again.

Im not sure if there is a way to give you what you're looking for aside from reading on the near death experiences. I read all of them the other day, just ctrl clicked them all open in another tab and read them all in one sitting.

I'm schizo and one of the things the voices used to say a lot is "you haven't lived 'till you've died." If there was a way to simulate death it'd probably be at a theme park for $200 a ride.

PS. If you'd like a gentle introduction to the second method, you can try following along with this video.
It's slower-paced, and it's unlikely to make you pass out. It can get you used to some of the sensations you might get.
