Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I am just asking myself this question. I tried to end my life but failed and nobody knows. Should I tell my therapist or psychiatrist, considering that I don't want to be locked in a psych ward (again)? Should I just tell them I tried in "the past"? I just started working with them so they don't know me very well. I believe my freedom Is more important than everything else.

Someone might need to translate.

Think what is important to them is whether you're at current risk.

If you're making clear that you aren't planning now, and ctb attempts was not too recent, then imo should be fine.

Yeah I think it would be pretty important for your therapist to know. Maybe it could also help you to not have to carry this alone.

In my experience they only involuntarily lock you if you are actively suicidal/planning/danger to yourself. If you drop this information and then refuse to answer questions then that would be reason for them to me worried. If you tell them and answer questions honestly and that you want to stop feeling this way then they don't have a reason to worry about your current state. Whatever you decide I wish you luck!

Yes, I would tell your therapist, or at least someone else you can trust. As long as it's not future plans, you can speak entirely freely. If your therapist can have a deeper understanding of the seriousness, what got you there, and what's keeping you away, they can provide you with even more support.

I wouldn't say anything about suicide to any type of therapist.

I don't know if I am at risk tbh. I still think I hated my life and that I want It to end but at the same moment I try to do something positive for my health. The attempt was recenti however.

I think saying "in the past" is smart.. that way you can get things off your chest without being paranoid
