No obviously not. I'm stuck in a psych ward. Why the hell would this be a joke?not all shoelaces are the same nor are tree limbs. this is a joke post right?
thank you, what if I double up on laces & tie them together and make them thicker?A shoelace probably will not be enough. They're pretty thin so theres a decent chance that the lace will snap and you'll fall, or worse, that it will snap after a while and you'll end up with brain damage. Moreover, the rough surface of the tree will wear it down too and increase the chance of it snapping. You'll be better off getting a rope (preferably 12mm think for full suspension).
because very little thought has been given. the lower limbs of a tree are gonna be thick. are you gonna climb? when you get to a limb thin enough for shoe laces... will it snap under your weight. comedy show.No obviously not. I'm stuck in a psych ward. Why the hell would this be a joke?
Its no problem at all! And as for the doubling of the laces, although it will reduce the pressure on the shoelace, it is still decently likely to break under your bodyweight. And as another person said, your body will spasm while hanging; the forces from the spasms and the friction the movement will generate where the lace is in contact with the tree will still lead to the lace likely breaking.thank you, what if I double up on laces & tie them together and make them thicker?
I don't think I'd have enough time to run on leave and go and get some rope or something
