• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

... In Mood Disorders and Suicide
This is a new study in progress now, with the goal of trying to learn about the relationship among the immune system, reward processing and suicide in participants with depression.

Abstract (Project Summary; partially paraphrased):
"Depression is among the most disabling mental health conditions and associated with profound functional impairment resulting in tremendous economic burden...
Critically, depression is one of the leading causes of suicide...
Abnormal functioning in the peripheral immune system has been linked consistently to risk for depression..."

(This is me, now, KK)
For all those of us who ask why is this happening, why me?, we can get some solace from the idea that there are caring people who are trying to find the answers to the questions, so they can work towards finding better solutions.
