I live in isolation. Haven't worked except on some of my own things for years. Difficult sometimes, nice at other times.

What do you guys do with your time? Other than research suicide.
Hi, Dead Inside. I watch a lot of porn, go on the Internet to gross myself off with pictures of animals with tick infestations. Additionally, I play games in Sporcle.com to feel good about myself. Somehow, I feel a boost after being to name all the U.S. presidents (in no particular order), all the countries that start with "A", and all the words in Merriam-Webster dictionary that rhyme with "Y", for example.

Additionally, I have two jobs. Despite my master's degree I've had trouble getting back into the U.S. workforce after so many years abroad. So, for work, I just got a job as a tech at a hospital and I also substitute teach. Also, because I live with my parents, I need to dedicate a fair amount of time to cleaning. I try to go to the gym. I go to a lot of MD appointments, I apply and research better jobs elsewhere, and I spend a lot of time humiliating myself by finding creative ways to communicate with a former friend-with-benefits who dropped me.

I just joined a dating site, which I find thoroughly depressing.

Re: your original question, work has always been a difficult aspect of life--fitting in at jobs, being punctual, rising in the ranks (these three aspects have eluded me).

Dead Inside, I admire you for posing a question for other people to answer. I am always so wrapped up in my own b.s., I find I'm never asking questions anymore. Good on ya. Thanks for the opportunity to vent.

I have a full time job since January again. Earlier I was forced to communicate a lot with patients and it drained all the energy from me, i lost my job, because i cannot think clearly (maybe because i was heavily medicated by psychiaters). Six month later i finally found a good workplace, where i don't need to speak with a lot of people but mostly operate the computer or perform some bureaucratic things. It was really like a light in a dark for me, as i met my chef. I remember that even before job interview i read one of the books about suicide (i bought last sommer a loads of old and new books about this topic, since i was able to think only about it). And he said that he most probably will hire me. I have had more than 10 job interviews before and because of my severe stuttering, overweight because of meds and lack of confidence i didn't had any success. One time i was even directly told that i may be suffering from depression.

So now it looks kind of Ok for me. I still have some heavy thoughts about death, escpecially on weekends. But overall it is not the darkest time for me. I am still glad that i found this forum, since it is possible to communicate a bit more, even if won't commit suicide in the next few months.

Never worked, 100s of recent applications and no response. Lost most my 20's so I'm flat out unemployable anyway.

I hate having a job and having to show up at specific times and not being able to sleep past a certain hour.

I knooooooooow! Like, you're exhausted but the alarm clock goes off at 5:30AM. Have to get up anyway. Missed the train because it arrived early or was too full? Now you're stressed out because you have a 7AM meeting. Not 7:05AM. What's that? Tired? Need to get to sleep? Too bad. You have deadlines. It's up 'til 3AM the whole week for you.

Progress. Bah!

I work in for a rideshare company. In my spare time I look at videos by Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, Dave Rubin, IDW. I am also very much into technology. I am a transhumanist, which means I believe we should enhance our bodies and minds with technology. I follow new updates innovations in technology. I take psychedelics too. That is the bulk of what I do.
