Idk what to do with my life

Im currently trying to complete an assignment for my music studies which is to make a 1 minute song including some samples they asked us to record (random sounds mostly) and right now I'm stuck trying to do anything, the fact that they didn't give us specific instructions other than "1 minute" drives me crazy and that happens to me with anything that requires creativity, I can't draw because I can't think of something to draw and now I can't compose because whatever I try I don't like the way it looks, it also doesn't help that this would be the first composition I've ever done in my life and to top it off I've never had the chance to be creative with anything, I've always been required to do things to the letter.
anyway, any advice on how to stop needing instructions of any kind?

what program are u using? .
anyways if the samples are tonal in nature, so they in theory have a discernable pitch, id try to match them to one of the standard notes like you know CDEFGAB so u can play a melody and if they are noise so non discernable pitch, if u make them rly high and short u can make a snare or hihat and if u pitch them down u can make like a kick. Idk how much this helps u but that would be how id go about it

My dad was a jazz pianist and I have been a musician my whole life.

Don't overthink it. There's absolutely no reason your song will be bad. Anyone can write a song.

How about this. Play Emin7 to A on the piano, and just hum until you find a melody you like?
