i genuinely have never found people who think like me as far as suicide goes. every single place wanted to make me feel like I was crazy for wanting to have agency over my life. for being tired of it. "it gets better"ing me whenever i would talk about my long-tern and/or permanent issues always drove (and still does) fucking crazy.
ironically i found out about this forum from a video demonizing it, portraying sasu almost as some sort of suicide cult lol. i couldn't even finish the video, i just though "this guy sounds like a virtue signaling idiot and that forum sounds like the place for me"

Hay I had nearly the same experience as you :) with the video and all demonizing this site. He wouldnt even say the name of SaSu so I had to search it myself. I tried finding it via AI but of course that didnt work (°-c °... . I dont get it why suicide is such a forbidden topic in society?? I get the feeling people make you feel like youre not allowed to talk about it and make you seem like youre the crazy one... I felt much worse after I tried to talk to someone about my problems and thoughts.. and thats why I dont talk about this in any public capacity anymore .
Actually after I found this site and could see what people genuinley wrote and after I could talk to other people on here I felt so much better. So yeah I'm also glad to have found this forum. This site actually gives me comfort (^-c ^

I've had very similar experience to you, OP. Except I found out about SaSu on another forum where negative video about SaSu was discussed (the discussion was very nice, basically calling out the critical guy as virtue signaling idiot, as far as I remember).
Ever since then I've been lurking here. SaSu was the first time for me when I felt seen, understood, recognized and respected in my decisions on the issue of suicide in particular. There's never been anything else like it and I doubt ever will. This place is special, and as SomeDude correctly pointed out, very comforting!
