Help im not really sure about killing myself

I'm not sure if I want to die, I think what I really want is to see how many people care about me and would miss me. I don't want to kill myself, I just see suicide as a "cry for help", I don't know what to do, I'm thinking about attempting suicide (and obviously failing lmao) just to see if anybody really cares about me
