If people didn't make such a big deal of suicide everyone would be happy..and it would be easier for us to leave this crap without guilt or shame..you know "do with your life what you want"no resentment there

Loss of loved ones will always be painful. The choice of a loved one to leave is a scar that will never heal. I wish it were easier, I wish people would not care for me, but suicide matters because people matter. I'm pro choice, but people have the right to care about the people they love dying.

Guilt is just one aspect and it's probably much a smaller influence than SI in holding people back from ending it. I think I'd still be here, still unhappy, still unable to do anything about it.
I think it's monstrous to deny us agency. I'm being forced to stay alive by my family. Losing us will obviously hurt but in many cases it's more merciful, thoughtful and considerate to let us go.
