There are some people who had a very bad childhood, and dropped out of school, or something similar. Got maybe into crime early. Maybe have a chronical illness too. But they did turn their life around. Now they think because they achieved that so can you. And you cant complain because the had it worse and turned their life around! Maybe are even self made millionaires! These same people will now judge you very harshly if youre not successful in life and complain, because if i can so can you! You will find them on every self help forum, or on every question about depression. They will call you a coward and selfish if you consider suicide. Because they had depression too, and now are super succesfull, so dont complain, and work hard! Why is it that some people who had it very rough, have so little empathy for others who have it rough too? Why dont they realize, not everyone can become a Millionaire in the future? Not everyone can have a successful career? Not everyone can even hold down a job? Im sure you encountered such people before. How did you react when they judged you harshly because they turned their life around?

You could complain that it is presumptuous and arrogant to assure, unless they somehow know for sure they had have less favorable circumstances to achieve success at whatever they did, than you. And even that doesn't prove the statement to be true. But hey, good luck trying to convey that point. It is actually may be more reasonable to respond with: "Ablablablablablablablablablabla." Less effort with the same success.

Is it me, or successful (define what they succeeded at) people are proving themselves to be incredibly delusional? As if its a prior requirement for success.
Would make some sense to me. Beliefs take care about unpleasant topics while your CPU power is completely devoted to the task at hand. The right balance between believing and thinking, and their quality of course. But yeah, uspuspuspuspuspuspuspuspuspusp.
