i heard somewhere if you stay up your brain will slowly eat itself, once mania hits me i wont want to sleep. what if i js never sleep??? what if i force myself not to pass out either by staying away from my bed and drinking energy drinks?? lmk ur thoughts on this
In theory yes if someone didn't sleep they would die (not directly from lack of sleep, but from other things caused by a lack of sleep like organ failure) but it's not realistic. The brain forces microsleeps and loss of consciousness before you would get to that stage.

Honestly, I think it's unrealistic in the long run. Your body fights this easily. I was severely insomniac (3/4 days of no sleep regularly) and the worst that happened was a lot of grand mal seizures, after which my body basically forced me to sleep. Eventually your body will find a way to sleep, whether it's micro-sleeps or you just passing out while sitting upright.

its possible but, just much more harder as fatal insomnia is a thing tho, i think those prolonged periods end up being death by x instead of lack of sleep because as ur brain shuts down and u start randomly sleeping, u can end up in a pretty bad spot (driving, busy area n such).
I'm starting to feel the lack of sleep. Not sure it can be fatal but would be nice. Feels like it's bleeding today. Just sucks. Torture. Torture is inhumane how can this even exist
someone on youtube took antibiotics and he couldn't sleep ,he survived 6 months of no sleep and died ,this method takes a long time to kill you I wouldn't recommend

I've legitimately gone through severe insomnia where the longest I couldn't sleep was well over a week and imo, sleep deprivation is the worst form of torture and one of the worst ways to try and die. It is just slow descent into insanity.
