But seriously though... What the fuck. I get that I'm not everyone's cup of tea, but is it too much to ask for a courteous "I think we have different needs and communication styles, so I think we shouldn't talk anymore. Best wishes".

I'm not sure at what point the world seemed to become so terrified of directness and confrontation. The importance of communication is always stressed but people don't actually mean it. I've had so many friends who are like, "If I ever upset you or there's a problem, just talk to me about it!" But then when I try to have a civil discussion, they ghost me.

The silence of ghosting is a form of communication in and of itself, and I would treat the situation as if the above message was the entire content of their last text.

If someone would push back against such a text, and especially if they pushed back multiple times, then perhaps the ghosting was justified in the first place.

I have been ghosted before. I know it sucks. This thought process is only about trying to move forward from it and isn't an actual judgement on whether the other person is right or wrong.
