This is beyond horrific, I'm sorry you're going through this. No one deserves violence for how they dress, least of all from the family members who are supposed to love and care for them most. Family/religious issues like these are absolutely valid reasons to feel despair.

that rough. i do notice there are more and more stories coming out like that. recently here there was a teen murdered by their parents. most likely islam.
for the rest there is no motive or anything aside that the parents got arrested.

i have a sour taste of christianity because my parents would insult me for being alternative in high school. they called me a bunch of things, like clown, idiot, satanic, pendeja, stupid, ugly, etc. and yell at me for it. they said the way i dressed was against god and that i would be punished by him for it. They also would force me to go to church when i didnt want to. it sucked :/

i live in australia. thanks for your kindbess. i know islam is not like this but it still feels that wa sometimes.

I'm not sure about Australia specifically, but it's possible that there may be domestic violence or counselling resources that you can access. Might be worth looking into (assuming your internet searches are not being monitored, in which case you may want to use a computer at the library or something).

You can just say Islam it's okay girl, same, if I ever left this country I'm already planning to cut off most of my family members, it's a painful decision but atheists like myself are completely rejected in this society, the only family members that accept me are my aunt and mom.

There are many things wrong with that particular religion. There's nothing wrong in discussing it in a civilized manner. I mean, come on, their oppression of women is pretty harsh for starters.

I have spoken about this before as well. Just bide your time for now and look for a good opportunity to escape. Slowly become independent.Don't ever let them know that you plan to do so. Not even your closest confidante.

Honor killings are, after all, a real thing to be worried about.
