I'm sprry that all I do is selfishly spew my shit all over this forum but this is the only group of people i can vent to like this. and this shit is just driving me to the edge

so I go through these phases that tend to last at least a couple of weeks. Mind you it's different than my default insomnia, which is heavily linked to my mind and my anxiety. But basically I experience what I think are hypnogogic jerks, every single fucking time I am almost asleep

and it doesn't stop, it's not like the occasional twitch. For weeks straight I will be in a battle with my own body all fucking night, reaching that edge of sleep and then my body jerks me back into wakefulness. The more it happens the more I dread trying to sleep, and it just feeds into itself endlessly and it's making me lose my fucking mind

I dont know what causes it but it seems to happen every time I start a new job... which is fairly often since I can barely hold down a job as I am barely a functional goddamn person. Thanks, brain

fuck i just want it to stop i need fucking sleep. im becoming psychotic and o want to die

I do through the same thing. Just as I am drifting off, my body will jerk me away from slipping into nod. While this happens only once or twice a night for me, I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you, and I am so terribly sorry that you are suffering as you are.

I've found that tea helps me sleep. I enjoy having a cup of passionflower & mugwort before bed. It helps ease my nerves and anxiety.

thank you, I'm glad you know what I'm talking about. it's so frustrating

i forgot about tea, i used to drink this kava/valarian/lavender/honey concoction and it seemed to help sometimes. never tried what you stated though

of course the full body itches are a neat touch, also...

it feels like my entire nervous system goes on overdrive, just firing everything everywhere. thus is torture
