i just hit the fat layer i just hit the fat layer i just hit beans i just hit the fat layer i dont know what i feel it feels like nothing and everything at the same time i went on twitter and looked up "shtwt" anbd saw really bad pictures and videos of super huge and deep cuts on peoples arms and it made me feel awful and i got a really uneasy feeling in my stomach so i immediately closed twitter and curled up in bed trtying to to not think but everything felt bad and awful and all myu friends are inactive because i work night shifts so i cant talk to try and clear my head and distract myself and then i started scrolling online to look at memes to try and forget and a bunch of relationship memes came up and i felt lonely and sad so i started reading manga and it got to a section where this one kid was weird and all alone in class and it made me feel like shit so i just said fuck it and decided that i was gonna cut to if not feel better then feel something so i took my old blade, wrapped it in tape for safe disposal, grabbed a fresh new razor blade, taped one side, and while watching a vocaloid music video (split dance to be specific) made a cut on my right forearm without looking i didnt want to look at it so i just watched the video and went by feel for how much pressure to apply and when i finished the cut and looked down it was pretty wide and looking at it made me feel uneasy so i wrapped my arm in my towel and when i dabbed the blood away the inside didnt look white and smooth like my styros usually do it looked all lumpy i think i ended up hitting the fat layer ive never hit the fat layer before i went to my bathroom and poured the rest of my hydrogen peroxide onto my cut and it ended up stinging its never stung before i poured hydrogen peroxide onto it and wrapped my arm tightly with my towel i feel weird i dont want to do this

i dont think so. i bought some gauze wraps from walmart online and had them delivered as fast as they could. poured some hydrogen peroxide on my cut, then wrapped it tight with the gauze before using some medical tape to secure it. i think i;ll just leave it like that until it can scab or scar over.

i had my arm wrapped in some gauze wraps all day long while at work. the cut would hurt anytime i moved my arm in certain ways, which sucks because i work at a grocery store and have to lift boxes, pull pallets, and stock shelves overnight. when i got home, it felt a little loose cause my sleeve would mess with it. i took the bandage off to put a new one on and it was still open and bleeding a little. i put some more hydrogen peroxide on it to avoid infection, dried it, and wrapped it snugly with a new gauze wrap. and this time i used extra medical tape to prevent it from slipping around.
i cant even go to a doctor or anything cause 1. i moved here after my japan trip and im not registered with any clinics and dont have a doctor. and 2. i dont have any health insurance because ive only been at my job for a little under 3 months. i'll just keep bandaging this until it scabs or scars enough to seal itself

I was unfortunate enough to (accidentally) almost fillet an entire chunk of skin off my finger with a pocket knife once. It was a big, deep cut that hit the fat layer—definitely one I likely should've got stitches for, but I never did. I just rinsed it daily and kept gauze and bandages on it, antibiotic ointment, etc., and eventually it did heal on its own. Still have the scar to this day, also minor nerve damage.

I'm not a medical professional, but if you truly can't see a doctor, it will likely heal up on its own in time, provided it doesn't get infected. I don't recommend constantly dousing it with hydrogen peroxide though as that actually destroys regenerative tissue. My advice is to keep it clean by gently rinsing and reapplying fresh gauze often, also using antibiotic ointment like Neosporin. Hope it feels better soon. 🤍

its been a couple days and its still not closing :(

I've been keeping it wrapped tightly with a gauze wrap, changing it daily, and i also stopped using hydrogen peroxide and started using neosporin instead. The cut isnt bleeding anymore but its still open and everytime i peel off the bandage to put on a new one it rips off whatever scab wouldve formed.

This time, before putting a new wrap on, i put a lot of extra neosporin on the cut so that hopefully will keep it moist enough that it doesnt fuse to the gauze.

Hey, I've cut to fat layer many times in my life. It's not going to heal in a few days, it'll likely take a few weeks. Might be quicker if you use butterfly bandages to try and close it. Wrapping it tightly in gauze isn't a good idea, that'll just irritate it. it's better to use a big bandaid for deeper cuts. Also, remember to let the cut breathe sometimes instead of keeping it covered all day as this could cause an infection. Personally I would clean it with hydrogen peroxide + water (less harsh) then leave it out in the open for awhile and then put a big bandaid on it (not tightly) with no ointment, never got an infection from it. I hope you heal quickly

i did that on the top of my thigh, i think that's a really fatty area which is why it happened. i can't remember how long it took to heal but it felt the same as any other. i don't have any proper wound care stuff so i just stretched a bunch of bandaids perpendicular to hold it closed. and i guess it worked then but it's still a wide scar

poured some hydrogen peroxide on my cut,
For future reference, it is better to use mild soap and warm water to wash out wounds unless tiu think dirt got in them. Hydrogen peroxide and the like actually damage the akin and slow the healing process. It is better to use soap and water and then cover the wound with an antibiotic ointment.

Glad it eventually healed up
