Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Definitely a controversial opinion but I hate therapy. I started it awhile ago in hopes of recovery but it all seems so pointless to me. My therapist is giving me good advice on how to get better but I just can't find it in me to try. I really don't want to get better anymore

I think it's REALLY hard to find a good therapist. They usually learn 1-2 different methods in school and they try those on every single client. They basically only have one solution, which can help with seasonal depression or mild depression, but if you have extreme problems with life/yourself/others/existence, then in my experience they are quite helpless.
They simply lack the tools to truly help someone who is too aware and too broken.
I've tried therapy with many doctors, and at the time they helped a bit, i mean talking openly about my problems felt really good, but overall it was worth nothing. i'm more suicidal and broken than ever in my lifetime.

I'd never subject myself to therapy, it's the last thing I'd ever do. It's an ego thing, if I can't solve a mental problem myself then I'm weak. I personally see therapy as a major weakness and loss of respect for people who use it. But that's my personal value system; thus, if anyone wanted to do most damage, they'd send me to therapy and deprive me of my autonomy - because under anhedonia, and lifetime self-sufficency the wanting to improve by help of others is an unacceptable category error.
