• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I plan to CTB by full suspension hanging, and there are a few posts on this page with links to people who hung themselves. When I watched these, the fear of hanging almost ... disappeared? When I went to check the replies, some were saying that they were traumatized. I don't want to sound like a gore-watching (I have never willingly watched gore) edgelord, but it looked a lot more peaceful and simple than I imagined. Maybe that was just a result of my overthinking, thinking that it would look more violent, you know?

It's nice to have confirmations that your chosen method worked.

oh this makes a lot of sense. I guess I was a bit confused since some people didn't seem to be ready to accept that their method works

It's reassuring. To watch how the body reacts, everything about it. So that when eventually committing you have, even if false, sense of what to expect in a way.
Even though I feel terrible for said people who ended up choosing such a way out. At least they are hopefully at peace now.

I think its also because I feel a bit of control for my last moments if ykwim? Like I know what to expect and I will probably act that way too.

Yeah I get you. It's very human to want to have control, and like you said in our last moments we can be given at least that. Projecting our selfs in the position dangling with the same mannerisms helps with SI I suppose. And accepting it also.
