Is there a thread on here that gives details on this method? I have read that hydrogen sulfide can be produced by mixing lime sulfur and muriatic acid (or any toilet bowl cleaner containing hydrochloric acid). Which toilet bowl cleaner is best? How much of each should I mix to get the right results? I would do this in an average-sized car.

Iron, sulfur, and acid. no need for toilet-bowl cleaner. Also much safer, you might get other chemicals if you use cleaners, and that could end up with soft tissue burns and lung scars. This will make pure H2S, and you can skip the water capture and just leave it open in a car.
This basically kills you by stopping your heart, and passing out is not for sure. Could be quite painful.
