Here are some of my beliefs about human nature. There are exceptions, of course, but these exceptions are rarities rather than the norm.

People only spend time and effort for you with the conscious or subconscious knowledge of the utility you can have for them. Subtitle: People are users.

So if you are poor or ugly or a no one in society, they will not even bother.

They will maximize what they can get from you. The moment you have nothing to offer them, they will leave you, then proceed to their next victim host and forget every good thing you've done for them and only remember the times you failed to be of use to them.

------------------------------
Questions:

1. Do you agree or disagree with the perspective above?

2. "I want to CTB because I choose not to play this 'human game' anymore."

This is how I actually feel and is the most simplified and compacted form of why I want to CTB.

How do you feel about this reasoning? Do you agree or not? Do you find it shallow or profound? What are your honest opinion about it?

Let us not make this discussion an echo chamber (agreeing to make OP feel good) nor a debate (arguing for the sake of arguing). Just let your honest heart and mind speak.

I mean...I want to be cared. Is that what I want to "exploit" from people when I care for them too? I think it goes against the spirit of your reasoning, but I wanted to share.

I hate this so much about humans~ >_< They're fundamentally selfish, evil, and sinful and will do whatever not-very-good thing lies in their hearts when they can benefit without consequences~ >_< my irl's always used for me for stuff I could do for them but dumped me as soon as I was no longer needed and requested even the tiniest thing in return~ :/ Anything good they do is simply because they know that that also benefits them too~ >_<

not the OP, but I'd say it would~ It's something that you want selfishly after all, and you're enjoying benefits from doing so for others too~ altho, it is nice of you to do unto others as you would like to have done for you~ :)

I guess if it's mutual, it's ok? But most people don't do this. It's a one way beneficial relationship.

I agree, as a kid I remember seeing homeless people on the street and wondering why no one helps them, then I thought to myself, well its for that exact reason, they are homeless, a "nobody" in societies eyes and an unbeneficial "investment".

Its usually a mutual exchange though, albeit maybe not a balanced exchange sometimes.

The "human game" is called evolution, we would not exist if we were different. Altruism has to be mutual, otherwise it is self-destructive. If I help someone he owes me a favor, if I never get a pay back I will not help anymore. This way individuals who always need help and are not able to be useful in any way, will be sorted out of the gene poole.

I agree but, I think it can happen in a more subtle, less unkind way also. I simply think we seek out friendships/ relationships with other people that fulfil our needs. Maybe the best relationships happen when both people can fulfil the other's needs. I'd argue that everyone does this- otherwise- we'd like everyone equally and, be friends with everyone. Chances are, there will be peoole we get on better with. Why? Because it's easier/ nicer to be around them. Maybe they understand or accept us better. Maybe they share the same interests.

We all (subconsciously) look for different things. I wouldn't necessarily agree that no one wants to be friends with ugly and or/ unuseful people. They may feel drawn to people they can help. Didn't you have someone at school that, everyone felt drawn to trauma dump on? And, who didn't seem to mind? Maybe because they enjoy the feeling of being needed and trusted. For me personally, I tend to form friendships more with people who are pessimistic and struggling to some extent. I imagine being friends with an energetic optimist would make me feel worse.

I just think we're all different. I agree that we form relationships in order to sate our own needs but I'd say those needs vary from person to person. Some people feel a deep need to give so- they may well be drawn to people who need them.

I agree. And that's only one reason out of a book of reasons why I want to exit this hell they call sacred life and this evil prison world.

And for me that's not even the top reason.

The only help i would want from another human is helping me kill these monstrous cells they call a human body I'm trapped in . And i would pay them money for them to assist me with suicide. But they made that a crime purposefully to keep us suffering in the prison. Th

Agree. I also agree that a lot of our past evolutionary steps are now entirely unnecessary, and sometimes outright hostile, to living life in a planet shaped by humans for humans. They may have been useful back then, but now they have become harmful. Some are even leftover from when we were basically apes!

Ignoring all the hurdles and foibles of it, such as the whole "only super rich people will get it", when I think of genetic engineering, I always go for the "remove features that are no longer necessary for modern human life." before thinking of adding new things.

As Antoine de Saint Exupéry once said: "It seems that perfection is attained, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away." and I'm inclined to agree.

It is not our human nature that corrupts things, it's our animal nature. If one doesn't use their human part to overcome the animal part, they corrupt themselves and everything around them to become more like them, like a disease. And what do we do with diseases?
