!!!! TRIGGER WARNIN FOREAL FOREAL !!!!
Let me tell yall a story.. Snicklefritz is my name, female, 30 y.o, menace since day one.
It all started way back when. At 5 years old, I was molested. From my earliest memories until 9, severe abuse and neglect was given freely in the household. The only time I felt safe was in school. When I was almost 10, I watched my father shoot my mother and my half brother nine times each. My half-brother was paralyzed at 13 because of it.. There's no "normal" after that.
At 14, I was raped by a 23 year old- That's how I lost my virginity. I bounced through multiple group homes as a youngin. I was labeled incorrigible. I fought at school. I dropped out. (I did get my GED, though.) I got married at 23. That failed. I went to college for three years, built up debt, and have no degree to show for it.

I've been targeted by human traffickers for 7 years now. I've been kidnapped and held hostage leading to a 77 officer and SWAT team stand off. THEN I picked up heroin. The thing that made me feel so good was what was going to kill me and I didn't care at all. Eventually I was banging .2 of carfentanil at a time. Tolerances are crazy. I've survived SOMEHOW 24 or more overdoses. Needless to say, narcan came thru clutch and so did all the people who thought my life was worth saving.

I bounced from friends' houses to trap houses and hung out with prostitutes, feins, other junkies and worse daily. I've stolen countless times. I've went to sleep starving. I've walked the road to hell 7 times over. Rewind the clock to six months ago.... My brother begged me to move 2000 miles away from "home," & I've been sober ever since. I'm dating a professional musician and have everything I could ever ask for.

Money is not a worry anymore. I'm safe and loved.

If anyone feels like giving up.. remember I that had every reason to yet I never did. We all have hardships and there's always someone that might have it worse than you. You never know what a person is going through which leads me to say that giving the benefit of the doubt first and putting yourself in the shoes of the other person is a non-negotiable.

It sure was a shocker reading your story. For a minute, it felt like a script from those crime stories on television. I felt breathless halfway through. But the ending was a breather. I am glad things worked out for you, and I pray and wish it works for every one of us in this miserable existence. Feels like miracles do happen.
