I've seen people suggest alcohol or drugs but I'm not sure what kind of drugs... I wanna say benzos but again I'm not sure.

What is "partial suspension" hanging? Anyway, for partial hanging, I'll just say you picked one of the most difficult methods, as far as SI is concerned, anyway, since you can easily (mostly) call it off (back out) whenever you want.

DXM is an over-the-counter syrup that if used in high doses can cause dissociation and suppress the survival instinct. It also increases impulsivity, favoring "extreme gestures". Ketamine is also a powerful dissociative, while benzodiazepines are mild, but they can't help. In short...you have to dissociate from your body to suppress the survival instinct. Psychostimulants also work well.

No personal experience with benzos but I know you need to be careful with alcohol, I've had at least one night where I was fully set on attempting a partial and looking for a good spot but I got too drunk and ended up wandering the streets until sunrise. Maybe I'm too easily distracted so if you have EVERYTHING fully planned it might be different but idk
