Therapy doesnt count. Avoiding trigger situation doesnt count. What are the strategies to stop my brain from killing me after every single time i feel worse than other people. No matter if its in the video game or someone said something demeaning about my work or myself, when it happens it triggers that terrible response in my mind to make me heavily frustrated and mad. For a moment i feel like i could literally kill that person who made me feel worse about myself.

Im fully aware of that im suffering because of that complex, im aware of these responses being far too intense than they should be, but being concious about it doesnt fix it, its still the same. What is the actual way to start the process that will slowly make that anger lesser?

In over 50 years so far, I never found a way, although I don't think have had the same level of anger on a consistent basis. I gradually got used to it and too worn out to care that much now. Not very helpful, sorry.

yeah... i feel this group is more for just venting and eventually a great spot for predators who find some pleasure with reading about other people suffering. No actual help here

I think it is worthwhile--but perhaps demanding a bit of time and habit-building--to try meditation. It might sound like a cliche response, and it may not even work for you; However, meditation is one of the most easily accessible evidence-based practices that can have many long-term benefits, including grounding ourselves in triggering situations, like the ones you described, and teaching ourselves to think differently across a variety of situations, stressful or not.

But nowadays, the capitalistic paw has mercilessly grabbed the market for meditation too, as it became more popular in recent years. However, there is one gem I found and would wholeheartedly recommend: a completely free and research- and evidence-based meditation app called Healthy Minds. It has a lot of wonderful meditations organized in a few categories (as well as short lectures), depending on what you would like to primarily focus on.
