Live in Ireland, intend to purchase SN from Polish seller to a post locker. Courier would be DHL.

I want to avoid any issues regarding customs or police welfare checks. How likely are they to happen?

Ireland is not in Schengen area.
Poland is.

The most concern would about your seller. If they are like Kenneth Law, there is a great risk for welfare check.
