So the question is:
How do you think the world should be seen? Or how does it look for you?

[ This text below isn't really a necessary context to my question. It's just some tidbit on what made me wonder abt it. So no need to read it or relate ur answer to it if u don't want to^^ You can take any topic on this ]

[ I think part of why I related and compared fictional stories to this is because it's the only other thing I know...]

In a game I play, there's this storyline where you enter the POV of people from the past (fictional ofc, not about historical figures). I felt that those characters have so much volume. They have something that they're fighting for wholeheartedly, and they have so much that they're carrying within them. Their own dreams, their past, their losses, their identity, and the journey that they're taking to reach their goal. Though it all ended in tragedy, but they still reached what they longed for in the end, even if the destination is all ruined, I felt that it still meant something

I looked at myself and I thought I don't have what they have, that I'm lacking volume. But then I looked at others and I felt that I can't really see that in them either, even though I know that people irl also have so much that they're carrying and have something that they're fighting for

This made me realize that the world always seemed hollow and superficial to me, which is why I can't see people as "three-dimensional" as those characters (ironically enough)

I wondered how the world is supposed to be seen, is it supposed to be this way? How does it look for you?

I don't really know if I get your question right, so apologies if I misunderstood your message.
I think characters in fiction serve as an amplification of the desire to fight for something most people have. Their goals are often far more significant and relevant to more beings than just themselves, so it's easier to see a drive to do something meaningful in them than in real people. Also, their backgrounds and thoughts are tailored to serve a story, which may make them seem more complete than real people. I don't think it's necessarily abnormal to see yourself as lacking volume compared to them.

Sorry too if you were confused! My description isn't really necessary to this question ToT (I guess I'll state that here). It's just a little tidbit on what made me ask this question haha. But yea, I was just wondering if I'm supposed to see the world in this way ig, and also curious on how others see the world

You're right, and I realize now that stories can show everything about a character, while irl you can only look at people from outwards, unless you get closer. So ig that's why irl can seem more superficial than the world within a story

i personally think the world looks very beautiful. i realize it every now and then but i realized it again the other day when i finally went outside for an errand. our world is really naturally beautiful. and sometimes we dont really recognize that for whatever reason. whether it's because we're too busy drowning in our own sadness or our minds are just too preoccupied with daily life.

and the cherry on top is that the world has specific people who you can love and get along with whom you can share it with. it's sad that you wont be able to meet all those people, but sometimes you meet one or a handful of them. and i think that makes it worth it.

my expirience will probably differ from what is "normal" as i am neurodivergent.
For me life is TOO loud. I have to wear noise cancelling headphones at all times because noises are so painful. Despite that I still get dearlization when surrounding feels surreal. I also have "visual snow" (image it as static TV but on the world) and "tunnel vision" (i dont know a correct way of calling it. Its not the way blind people see the world I think, its more like my mind would be to focused on one detail instead of the whole picture (idk how to explain it.... like i would see a color of my plushie but not a shape ig)). Also, lots of faces look kinda same to me and it is hard to remember faces. I also have very good "censorship" in my brain such as when I am seeing something traumatic, like a person on drugs taking off his clothes on the street to flash people, my mind will just put white on it and I would not have in my memories how his body looked like, just a white blop. I am in progress of making my own game with the main character that sees my way. Thats at least.... how i remember i see the life
Idk how it should be seen but i would guess its supposed to be without everything i just listed above
