Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

There are so many potential points on this.

I noticed when I wanted to get my hands on SN sources people trusted me more for being a longterm member and mass poster. Lol. Finally one beneft for these credentials. I couldn't get one for my country (Germany) that works perfectly for me though.

But in the past there were many people who gave me really helpful advices on here. They told me that they read what I have been through, that I tried therapy over and over again. And that they think in such a case committed suicide should not be prohibited. They had less of a guily conscience sharing their knowledge with me.

I once posted a very long controversial thread about the question of cliques on here. Someone told me I lit the forum on fire if I post something like that. And I deleted the post after some seconds. I cannot remember all the details it was a while ago. But I have to say I had the feeling there were cliques on here. And some groups disliked other groups. Personally, I think I was never that much part of an in-group. However, I tried to use my voice so that pro-mortalists views don't influence others and the atmosphere too much.

Last but not least, there are studies on this forum. And one finding is that members who are integrated in the social groups of this forum can incentivized not to commit suicide.

Personally, I feel sorry when a long thread doesn't get any reply. However, I am someone who often starts threads but isn't replying all that much. So I might be a hypocrite. I think this is how my brain works and this is how I benefit the most from this forum.

I think being part of a clique on SaSu comes with up- and downsides. Maybe I am not reading enough threads but actually I could not name some cliques on here at the moment. In the past some cliques were obvious though.

i actually think theres less cliques on here than there were prior, and i think the state of the internet (which priortises keeping people in algorithm bubbles rather than communities) has influenced more isolation. i know myself that i won't be doing internet friends again for some personal reasons and i feel i am part of a greater pattern. its the nature of a forum like this that some go and some get better/move on, but theres not a lot of active long term users on anymore even compared to a couple of years ago. a few multi thousand post members i am aware of CTBed and the rest i don't really know just like someday noone will really know where i went. i imagine theres a few long time users too who post less regularly because they have given most of their 2 cents on common thread topics that just repeat every day/month/year, so they spend their posts now on unique or personal to them threads.
