Hey everyone. I just recently nearly died testing the tourniquet method and holy hell it was scary to the point I am still shocked I was that close to death.

Anyway back to the point, I used the touriquet method and here is how I got it to work.

- Grab a tourniquet (obviously).

- Grab 2 long socks and put them on your carotid and away from the tracea as much as you can, fold the socks 3x.

- Hold the socks there by tucking down your chin then put the tourniquet on.

- Fasten the tourniquet and have it angled so the handle is easy to turn.

- Turn the handle as much as possible and anchor it to something (I used my chin but don't do that).

- After a few seconds you should faint.

- If you successfully faint, immediately remove the tourniquet ASAP and that is your que you did it right.

I seen people say its hard because of their size and I will admit I am a skinny guy which likely makes it easier for me because of my abnormally small frame and mass that a man shouldn't be having.

My suggestions would be to get a larger tourniquet and maybe larger socks or worst case scenario would be to find another method.

Bonus tip
Drink alcohol or any good sedative beforehand to kill any survival instinct, I would have died if I had been a little more drunk before doing my test/attempt.

You will have a small period of consciousness likely of being in a convulsion

Thats what happened to me
oh i see.
now you got me curious as to how it looks like in detail when someone does this method to catch the bus

Probably 10 seconds at best

5 seconds spent getting up
3 seconds spent wondering what was happening
2 loosening the tourniquet

Keep in mind I didnt even fully tighten the tourniquet nor did I anchor the handle thing it has so I would have for sure CTB if I had prepared properly

So this is like the night-night method, except it uses this tourniquet thingy, instead of a ratchet then?

Asking because the night-night method with a ratchet didn't work in my case...

Thanks in advance.

Thanks!

Just please don't forget about the rest of us, since it seems you have solved the "head exploding" feeling... This is very important!

2/10

And also, it seems the slideshow part of death isn't real unless that only applies to people dying of old age?

Sorry I didn't get it. What's "slideshow part of death"...
Its apparently a phenomon where allegedly moments before you die you experience a slideshow of your entire life memories.

I don't have a tourniquet or a rachet strape, or anything like that, and can't buy any (they don't sell tourniquets here).
I've been trying to use pajama pants or a shirt's sleeve, but they only either give me an exploding head feeling or I feel dizzy and can't breathe well, but nothing happens at all. I don't pass out, I don't get the same symptoms I do when I press the carotid arteries with just my arms.
Would it even be possible at all to use pants or sleeves instead of the tourniquet?
I'm in a psych ward rn so pretty much the only stuff I can use is clothes.
