Discussion how do you guys meet new people? how did you get into past relationship?

i go to online school and that's almost over, I'm getting a job but the job i will be working doesn't involve talking much at all. i don't want to be lonely forever and i want somebody to spend time with. how did you guys find your partner or past relationships?

On accident, all my old friends either spoke to me first or i simply met them on accident from whatever game i was playing back then. Most of my friends now i just make off the make a friend mega thread.

Events are good places. Also concerts. Kind of requires you to initiate conversations with people though. Which is scary.

As a socially retard myself I don't. But if I have to I would enroll in (non remote) education, that's probably the easiest way.
Go to a language school or take some course that involves some sort of teamwork and just engage with people.

In 2018 I signed up for improv comedy class and met a really good friend who introduced me to his friend group and we all still hang out.

Improv is really silly and feels kinda embarrassing but at the very least everyone is forced to drop their guard and not be fake. It's got good potential for meeting friends.

well i am an adult im 18 but im a senior and my future line of work doesn't involve college or alot of social activity. but there are some schools that i think i will inevitably go to.

It's hard but I meet people at events. Use local groups on social media to also meet new people

Hmm, if there are no events and stuff where you live, maybe you can find a pen pal from an online space and send them letters. I find that letters are way more intimate than just texting, as you can send tid bits of your life (dried flowers, buttons, doodles, pebbles etc.). And then after you've gotten to know each other well, you could meet in person.

As someone mentioned before, you can also take a class or course in your free time and meet people through there. I've met a lot of cool people through debate workshops.

I don't think I have any close friends IRL, most of my friendships are online. I consider myself a likable person, and people seem to like talking to me but I'm really scared of starting a conversation with anyone. That's probably one of the reasons I've never had a girlfriend.

See if you can sign up for a hobby class, a language class, the gym, maybe find someone on social media.. hard to say actually. I'm autistic but do my best friendly irl even tho I don't rrly look like it. But some people and you might just click.
You don't have to be popular, but as long as you find those one two or three people separate or together, that's worth a treasure.

Work and the gym are the only two places I go to. I met people in both. I have friends. I've had interested women as well. But I haven't really had any relationships with anyone. I've always thought that if I'm suffering, I don't want anyone else to partake in that suffering. Hence I'd rather be alone.

Every friend I made was online randomly
Some of my irl friend was people talking to me first
And my girlfriend was an unpopular dating app

It's hard to make friend, and it's even harder to maintain contact, I don't speak much, don't understand this principle of giving news, im bad at it and it cost me a lot of relationships

So maybe just try to get online, talk about what you like, you might find people interact and then from there talk with them. Oh yeah and don't do the same mistake as me
