I'm curious how it affected people close to you who see you on a daily basis. Whether they freaked out, it led to an awkward conversation, or nothing. I'm just wondering how my coworkers and one irl friend would react to seeing this.

When I was in middle school I started making rlly deep and visible cuts but I'd wear long sleeves to cover them up. Idk if anyone ever saw, but i'm pretty sure they did bc I'd always be working & then notice my sleeve got rolled up for some reason, making my cuts visible. I'm pretty sure some ppl were suspicious but they didnt say anything, they just looked & then ignored it & forgot abt it a few seconds later. Those were my classmates, but I remember one time when I was 12 I made this gash on my thigh when I was at home & I was wearing shorts. my mom was like "where did you get that cut" & I just said my dog scratched me. I'm pretty sure she knew i was lying bc it didn't look like something a dog scratching me would do but she accepted the answer and forgot abt it
