I'm not sure if hotels are open where I live in the US. Might have to ctb outside in a tent while camping. Does anyone know if hotels are open where they live?

It depends on the state. Most states list hotels as essential so they are open for business. With some travel restrictions in place here on the east coast, it may be difficult going to one. Especially if you are around the NYC area.
