you shouldn't communicate with a vendor at all, or as little as possible, that's the point of a marketplace like this. dh is a marketplace where you pay on checkout (at least i'm pretty sure) so you don't have to connect your wallet or deposit in advance at all, just send the funds when it tells you to

Have you been able to login to the site. The communication is the same using encryption. You have to encrypt the message with the vendors keys. You have to send a least one message to the vendor with your shipping information.

yeah me personally i was ready to give it up, but it's honestly not that hard, there just should be a guide on how to do it, that would save people lots of frustration

One thing to keep in mind is you only have so much time to make payment , so you should have that ready to go. It will tell you the exact amount you need to pay. What are you looking to buy ?

um…i sent the xmr to the invoice, i didn't get a confirmation on if it reached the vendor or not, then it expired and said no payment received. gang did i just get scammed

i clicked DH support, payment help, and put in the invoice and transaction id. it said it couldn't find the id in its system and that i might've gotten phished.

I checked the vendor's status, it says they're on vacation. Maybe that's what caused the problem? I don't know.
I don't know if they normally take orders while on vacation. The order process is automated, so it should work the same. I think they use different addresses , so maybe the one you got was outdated and not active. You could ask DH support if it's normal for vendors to accept orders while on vacati9n. Does it say for how long or when they will be back ?

I reached out to them through support and they simply said i might've gotten phished and that i should've checked PGP signatures (which i did…) Ill just accept I lost my money. But I don't know what to do to avoid this next time. Do you have any experience buying from there?

Yes , I've bought 2 times from different vendors. The only thing I could think of was it had to do with them being on vacation, maybe the address needed to be updated. I know they change them at times. The one suggestion I've seen is to make a small payment first , then once it's been received send the remaining amount.

The invoice should show an amount received when you send the first amount.
I can't think of anything you are missing , that should be it. Does it still show they are on vacation
