I've been getting daily panic and anxiety attacks to the point of faster heart rate, numbness, faster breathing, feeling of fainting, and restlessness. Does anyone have any tips on controlling these attacks and symptoms? I've tried slow deep breathing to no avail. I'm also on Lexapro and atarax if anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated thank you!!

I've found that temperature works very well for me. Taking a cold shower or dipping my head into cold water, putting an icepack on my face, or even stepping outside without a jacket when its cold out can sometimes help shock me out of it. Just be careful to take breaks and don't let yourself get too cold. Coping mechanisms that involve thinking like naming 5 things you see, 4 things you feel, etc can be helpful for me but not until I get that initial push as when I'm actively panicking it can be hard to focus. I feel the same way about slow breathing. I mostly use temperature because it works well for me, you could definitely look more into TIPP if youre looking for other physical coping mechanisms though. Imo it can be very helpful to have a sort of reset before trying to fully calm yourself down. This doesnt work for everyone but its definitely my preferred strategy. For natural methods stream of consciousness journalling helps me a little. You have to do it for like 20-30 mins to start to feel yourself calm down. Its basically putting all the stuff going on in your head on paper.

5 senses method can work sometimes.
Cold shower
Deep breathing helped me most. Even if your breath skips and your lungs hurt try to breath in as deep as possible and then exhale as slowly as possible.
Yoga has helped regulate my nervous system. Otherwise try to get hydroxyzine prescribed, this one doesn't get abused and it has helped me at times.

I'm sorry your experiencing this a lot and hope any of this help.
