No but didn't realise I get an email notification when I get private messages and I got caught browsing my email with sanctioned suicide at the top of it

No, I have not. I always lock my i-pad and laptop. And my parents can't speak or read English at all. Once my mother glimpsed me and this forum page on my i-pad, but she never realised what I was doing exactly. She asked me about what I was doing, so I answered that I was studying English on this forum. Nothing happened, everything is going fine in my house.

Use the private/incognito mode on any browser you use. It means your browser doesn't remember or cache SS,and once you close the browser window, it's like you never visited the site. You will need to log in each time, but it's a small price to pay.

If you must clear the cache manually, do this;
1. For Internet Explorer: gear icon -> Internet Options item -> General tab -> Delete button -> Delete button.
2. For Edge: "three dots" icon -> History item -> "three dots" icon -> "Clear Browsing Data" item -> select everything -> Delete button.
3. For Chrome: "three dots" icon -> History item -> History item -> "Clear Browsing Data" item -> select everything -> "Clear Data" button.
4. For other browsers, do the equivalents; I don't have them, so I don't know how to clear their cache.

It has nothing to do with the act of suicide, SS is an abbreviation that was used by the nazis.
I'm well aware of that, and I'm American. America has more tolerant attitude on reading Nazi sites than Germany does, as long as you don't do it in public. It's fine if you read ABOUT Nazism, because you have plausible deniability: you heard about it, and want to learn how horrible it is. It's only looked down on if you PARTICIPATE in it or PROMOTE it.

You have plausible deniability there too, provided that people are willing to believe you. You can say you "heard about this horrible, disgusting site, and wanted to see if it was real and not a hoax". Hey, sometime you gotta lie and pretend to be a pro-lifer, to keep pro-lifers from ruining YOUR life.

I have never been caught browsing, but I told a friend some moth ago that I kind of joined a "forum" that gives me the opportunity to talk to People about depressions, and also thoughts in regard to ctb. He was more like "okay but you are feeling better know right". So I guess he was just kind of shocked but moreover relieved that he felt like not to ask more questions..( guess that may people react that way avoiding that subject or they already preparing their-selves to get you into the next psych ward..)

Yesterday I also joined the ss group on telegram but desiced to leave cause i wont anybody find out about it..

One time I was sharing my screen on a zoom call and got a notification for this website, nearly had a panic attack. Nobody seemed to notice, or if they did they didn't say anything. My Firefox notifications are definitely disabled now because yikes.

No. No one has ever caught me browsing this site.

Also, when browsing sketchy stuff, incognito mode is your best friend, sometimes incognito + VPN for bypassing restricted content. I've learnt to use incognito since I got busted accessing porn sites when I was a teenager.

You can also use a proxy server, routing your browsing traffic through a foreign server. Here's how to do it in Windows.
Go to Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections tab -> LAN Settings button. Enter the IP address and port number in the bottom section.
(I have no idea how to do it in Mac or Linux, sorry.)

Here's a list of proxy servers: http://www.free77proxy77lists.net/ (Take out the 7's. They're meant to obscure links from this site.)

Yes, thanks mate, I know how it works. Currently I use Cloudfare WARP. It works just like a VPN, also fast and free.

Ohhh I SO understand what you mean!
If somebody touched my cellphone, computer or tv they would panick! haha
Its nothing sinister either. Like I know a few here seem to get courage watching others ctb, doesn't help me.
But Ive watched tons from people like Adam Maier-Clayton who tried to expose how disgustingly cruel and barbaric the system is when it comes to dying. Every now and then the owners just ram that cock a bit harder by recommending scum like Katy Perry when I don't even listen to music anymore for years!

Yes, my boyfriend caught me recently. He just saw the post title "Nembutal" on my phone and knew what type of forum I was on right away. Hence I'm having to be more careful than before.

Just try to use the incognito mode on Chrome so that they can't track the websites you visited.

I can't say for sure, but I was definitely close.

I was at work one day, and I did all of my work on my laptop. One day I have a work friend come up to me and ask if he could check something on my laptop (work related, not a simple internet search or something). This was while we were walking into the building. Anyway, I forgot I had SS pulled up, not even in another tab, so when I unlocked my laptop I nearly had threw my laptop across the room!

I was in such a panic that I hardly remember what I said to get off of helping him at that very moment. He was definitely suspicious because of how quickly I shut my laptop lid down immediately after unlocking though.

Oh well. The awkward moment is well worth the potential risk of letting someone know I'm suicidal lol.

To those browsing SS on PC often and want to protect your screen from spying eyes, some of the things you could do:

- If you're concerned about the big SS logo, you can use an adblocker to block it. Adblocker, as its name, is used to block advertisements, but it can also block most HTML elements. The SS logo is one of those HTML elements. To do this you have to use the "Element Picker" of the extension and point it to the logo.

- If you want to hide the address bar, hide the tab bar or move the tab bar to the bottom of the browser, these are doable in a browser named "Vivaldi". In my knowledge, Vivaldi is the only browser that can hide these elements at the moment.

Normally I use mobile so it isn't an issue, but when I switched to my laptop my father ended up walking in on me using the site the other day and saw the big "SANCTIONED SUICIDE" in the right-side corner of the screen, and then was all like "you shouldn't be visiting trashy sites like that", or something along those lines. Then he got distracted by my anime avatar and asked me questions like "what is that anime girl doing?" Then he just up and left. I guess my weeb tendencies saved me from a full-on lecture in the end, lol.

I think nearly one time, but I will do everything I can to make sure that never happens. It is my worst nightmare. I wish we lived in a society where we had a right to die and there was some acceptance towards it, but people around me would never understand.
