Discussion Have you ever been caught browsing SS?

About a month ago, my dad "caught" me while I was browsing the SS forums and even though he doesn't speak any english, he PANICKED when he read the words "SANCTIONED SUICIDE" which sound very similar in spanish to "SUICIDIO SANCIONADO"
I explained to him that suicide is only one of the topics we discuss here. I told him we talk about depression, mental disorders, provide advise and support, etc (the truth) but I never told himabout the resources section, guides or things like that.

Anyway, he fell for it and now I'm more careful than ever when browsing SS on PCs. If you use your cellphone, it's harder to get caught so, good for you!

What about you? Have you ever been caught browsing SS? How did they and you react? Tell me all about it!

Oh my husband found it, and signed up to fucking stalk me, the asshsat, Admin informed me as soon as they twigged and he was soon banned.
I have had professionals use my laptop, (when in my home and needing to access something on the web) and SS is on the tool bar, No one has said anything.. yet!!

ive never been "caught" i shared. (ive been noticing that i seem to be a backwards suicidal person compared to most, i havent decided how to feel about that yet.)

Some months ago when my father came into my room. I alt tabbed immediately and I'm not sure what happened but the window popped up again. I'm dont know if he's blind or he simply didn't care but he never said anything so I'm pretty lucky. I'm generally extremely careful but that really was a big fuckup on my part.

No. I don't worry about it because nobody ever looks into my PC anyway. Maybe I should be a bit more careful considering I'm a moderator but I would simply explain to them that this is a right to die platform, which isn't a lie.

Haha! Well, I didn't necessarily get caught while I was actively on SS, but I had a tab for SS open and other tabs for SN and info on the other meds to go with it. My mom lost her phone at the store, and I was asleep and she woke me up to ask if she could borrow my phone real quick. My dumbass just handed it to her and I ended up not sleeping for the rest of the night because I was in complete panic mode, shaking and nauseous af. Sure enough, it was the conversation the next morning and I didn't have my phone for a few months.

The kinda weird thing was her saying "I don't care if you're into that stuff, but I pay for your phone and didn't plan on paying for you to browse those sights." Which sounded almost like she was fine with it?? Anyway, I just never see the point in punishing people when they're hurting. Self-loathing and shit is punishment enough.

I've always been open about with my ex and therapist. I didn't tell therapist the name, and ex snooped and stalked to find it. I have never told the kids what kind of group I'm in, and I prevent them from seeing it. I don't care if people know. I'm not doing anything illegal or wrong.

Never been 'caught'. I don't really try to hide it. They don't do anything unless they think I'm about to do something.

Although the threat has been brought up that they'll sign up just cause I'm on here..

Dozens of close calls on it, but knowing my wife, she'll think I'm cheating on her by talking to you guys. This is the same woman that thought I was cheating on her with my therapist (woman), a handyman (man), and a person in one of her dreams.

When using this site with your smartphone, it's shorten with the initials "SS". As a german I should be careful using this site in public... but I don't have to care so much, cause I'm using this site only in my dark room. Where I'm alone.

I have not been caught and as I am writing this my parents are sitting in the sofa right in front of me. I don't know what to feel or how think about it. It is beyond absurd but here some of us are i guess.

My cousin caught me once and there would be a second time from my mother if it weren't for luck.

So I only use the 2019 version now, because there is not that huge "SUICIDE '" at the top left of the screen that anyone can see 10km away

Sometimes I accidentally leave my phone screen on when I get up or whatever and it's been on the SS home page a few times. It was worrying since it says SUICIDE DISCUSSION pretty flatly but it kept happening and I realized that the people in my life would deliberately not ask me what I'm doing on a site called Sanctioned Suicide. Like they just don't want to know what disturbing and depressing bullshit I get up to.

I don't know man...your dad could easily go to SS and through all your posts...even if he doesn't speak English...it still risk

Hi! Thank you so much for your concern! I've deleted all the cookies in the pc in my parents's house. I'm finally living alone so there's no risk here!
Anyway, you're right! I'm being really careful but still, my dad knows I am part of this community and what I said is not a true, after all.

Last but not least, he can barely use a pc lol

Yeah I told her that this is a good place to vent sometimes or read how people deal with their things. Also some points of view are interesting and sometimes you can learn new things. Anyway I think what she said is half true because there are a lot of predators, "bad" people, trolls or vulnerable people that needs some help or advice and what they have in exchange are people encouraging them to feeding their problems. Suicide is a sensitive topic with many nuances and sometimes we forget it here and start playing to friendship is magic like the real world doesn't exist.

I don't leave my room anymore, so there's no chance of me getting caught, and never have been before.
I used to browse the site in public in hopes that someone would see and ask me if I was doing alright. It was a stupid thought and I didn't even know what I would say to them, but it'd be the first time someone asked me how I was doing in real life.

My sister saw the site and asked me about it. I lied by saying its only a support forum. But I think she knew the truth and the next day she spray little holy water on me and my room. My brother saw it but I quickly took the iPad from him (I usually browse using phone though). He also read some of my telegram and WhatsApp chats I had with a SS friends. I was shocked.
