Apparently mine has! Less than a year ago, when I wasn't as severely suicidal, I was an infj. But according to tests (sakrinova, keys2cognition), I am now an intp.

I know tests aren't the most reliable when it comes to this stuff. But I don't take it that seriously anymore and I don't care to do my own research on the intp type. Just thought it was interesting.

You can't change from an INFJ to an INTP by becoming more suicidal; the cognitive function stack of the two types is pretty different (Ni-Fe-Ti-Se in INFJ and Ti-Ne-Si-Fe in INTP). What can change is what you answer on self-reported tests. You're better off going by descriptions of the functions.

Having Ni (introverted intuition) vs Ti (introverted thinking) as your dominant function is a totally different experience. Do you feel like you funnel all incoming data into one overarching theme, narrative, idea, or goal? Can you maintain singular focus on one idea for long periods of time, even decades? Do you sometimes get the uncanny feeling that, even with very little information to go on, you already know how something is going to play out? If so, you're probably an Ni-dom. I haven't studied Ti as much so I won't speak for that (I'm an Ni-dom myself, though an INTJ, not an INFJ).

Of course, as you said, don't take this too seriously. MBTI is just one among many ways to turn complex, continuous data into discrete representations -- very flawed ones, at that. MBTI is best at helping you learn what your decision-making process is like and what aspects you might be neglecting in that process.
