There have been a few that I wouldn't have expected, but it just proves that no matter what you achieve in life. Death consumes us all, and it's fucking depressing.
It makes me see that I'm not alone in existential crisis, and that there's only so much escapism you can cope with until you are no longer stimulated.
The complete randomness of inhabiting a giant rock that is chasing a big ball of fire for this giant rock to continue it's existence as that big ball of fire chases after more pointlessness to continue it's existence. It's all just so bizarre.
No fame or power would change my mindset about life & it would feel even more isolating having millions of people follow your every move.
I wouldn't be surprised if some celebrities quietly lurked on this forum.

I've mentioned before how Etika's suicide was truly a shocking loss to me and I always wished he could have stayed alive at least a little longer because almost every DLC character in Smash that came out after his death is someone he would have loved (except maybe Kazuya but who knows maybe he was a secret Tekken fan). This is one main reason I've held off my own suicide for so long. Hopefully the character to be revealed tomorrow truly is the final one and I won't have any regrets in that regard although even after tomorrow, there are still some movies left that I need to see.
Of course, that's not to overlook the fact that he was clearly in deep pain from being fucked over by YouTube and Twitch rules, his ""fans"" who kept calling him a clown, and possibly some other deeper inner issues that we'll never know about…
Lil Peep, although there is no proof that it was a suicide, it touched me because I listened to his songs every day and I started to like him as a human being
Like others have written Anthony Bourdain, but only until I read the backstory. Depression, history of addiction, that addictive personality carried over into a relationship that went bad and he couldn't take the pain. Aside from the celebrity chef part it's basically the same as my story. The people talking about money don't get it at all, it doesn't matter how much money you have when you go through something like that.
There's an article out recently with an excerpt from a new book that goes into how deep he was into his younger girlfriend. Everyone around him could see it was a disaster except him. Not long before he died she had been spotted about town with someone closer to her age. The day he died she tweeted "Fuck you. You know who you are" and quickly deleted it after the reports he killed himself.
Celebrities are just as fucked up as the rest of us. Maybe more so because of living in the public eye 24/7.
Robin Williams definitely...i couldn't belive it,i loved him so much,it is one of my favorite actors, funny that after years i'm now in the same situation...i thought a lot about him and his suicide during my attempts with partial. And then Avincii but not because of him but especially because of his attempt...i realky don't know how the fuck he was capable of doing it
We have them in every Country but has a celebrity suicide really shocked you. You imagine they have the perfect life, plenty of money, fame, beautiful men and women as partners, luxury properties, flash cars and lots of parties and friends.
There has been a few but I will just mention the prodigy star Keith Flint, it was a shock but later reported he had very large debts, but still a bit baffled as he was about to go on tour and earn a ton of cash.
PRODIGY star Keith Flint owed £7.3million in debts and taxes when he died. The Firestarter singer had built up an estate worth £11.6million before he took his own life in March aged 49. But officia…

I was giving up alcohol at the time and I was very unstable when this happened, and I became obsessed with his death. I also saw a lamb dying in a field near my house, and I became obsessed with that too!
I remember watching Gary Speed, then the manager of the Wales national football team, being interviewed on a TV show one Saturday afternoon. Speed was a very handsome and composed man, he spoke eloquently and cracked a few jokes, the usual routine. Nothing unusual.
A few hours later l turn on the news and the headline was that he had died, no further info but the implication being suicide. It turned out that Speed had left the studio, drove home, and hanged himself in his garage.
Obviously l didn't know the man and those who did have since speculated on his motives but the difference between the charming, eloquent man in the TV studio at noon and the man who committed suicide in a garage at 6pm is impossible to reconcile, and very starkly illustrates how people can hide their own inner turmoil so effectively.

Iohann Gueorgiev suicide did.
Not a huge celeb, he had a pretty successful YT channel. He was travelling the world on a bike.
The emotional connection was real.
During covid, i suspected he had to struggle somewhat and i reached out to ask how he was. Standard exchange. I didn't push any further, even though i had something precise to ask but i didn't dare. it's hard to engage in a meaningful discussion, for a variety of reasons.
my intuition was right and i felt guilty to not have done more.
Heath Ledger.. I grew up with all his movies.. seemed like such a nice person.. he was going places big.. and to end it all after his major role as the joker is just so sad.. he did it the same way my favorite musician committed suicide.. Nick Drake.. overdose on amitriptyline. Probably was combined with other drugs.. cocktails but yea those two.. dust in the wind.. I don't know how it happens to the best. But my life feels like hell now and I don't know how to end it.

This is interesting. A 22 year old Stanford student,Katie Meyer, ctb recently. She was a standout on the women's soccer team, and seemed to be doing extremely well at the school.
Stanford is one of the best universities in the USA.
She leaves behind two grieving parents. What a horror story.
I wonder what method...

I know it was technically an overdose, but I've always thought of Lil Peep's death as a semi-suicide. So many of his songs alluded to how he was ODing on drugs because he was depressed and wanted to die. Less than six hours before he died, he posted an image of himself abusing drugs captioned something like "You'll love me when I'm dead."
Paradoxically, what shocked me about his death was the fact that his death didn't shock me. He was just wasting away in misery before our eyes and nobody was surprised when it happened. What does that say about our society? But then again, maybe the alternative is a society where people have to pretend to be perfect at all times and are judged for being depressed or suicidal. And I don't want that either. It's all very hard.
