i still have my hanging rope in the closet waiting for me, but i also have sn. i know you can combine the methods (drink sn then hang), but it seems less convoluted to do sn. i was also having trouble throwing a rope over a branch last time i tried to attempt hanging outside. one of the things that affected me the most when i was contemplating hanging is trying to find a location and a tree i could hang from in my neighborhood. i thought about it so much that it was hard to focus on my regular life because i would just think about hanging. it was a pretty morbid time in my life, but i enjoyed being out in nature more often even if it was just to look at trees.

i've also thought about jumping from a university building after hearing about the student suicides and visiting it last month, but my fear of heights would probably make me too terrified.

in my head, i was thinking about how i prefer sn to hanging because i'm able to be more comfortable if i'm able to commit suicide while lying down, even if it's outside or in a park somewhere. i do wish that i chose to commit earlier than april so that i could dodge the people in my life's birthdays, but my closest friends' birthdays have passed now, so i have less obligations. when i was practicing hanging in my closet it was really hard to get over the gagging sensation i would get when the rope would press into my neck. i feel like i'd be more eager to do it if i drank, but i would need to drink after i'd already set the rope up in the closet or forest. a lot of people have also talked about how gagging's an issue while practicing partial hanging.

sn seems like an easier method in the sense that it's just fasting for 8 hours and then going somewhere secluded to drink your juice. i can't imagine the pain or taste, but i imagine it's still bad. i do wish there was a way for me to gauge how much pain i would be in because i don't have prescription antiemetics, but i figure that i'll never know until the day i do it. my date got postponed again because of my friend and it almost makes me wish we weren't as close of friends if i've postponed twice for his sake. my family still hates me and thinks i'm a chud, but my sister is moving away for her job so there's going to be an empty spot in the house soon. i blocked her number today because she called me at 3 am for the second time this month and also called me in the morning to wake me up for a chore when i was asleep. it feels like i'm always fighting the urge to yell at her or say that she's treating me like garbage. the only way i can get her to stop calling me is to block her number because i already had her muted and my phone on do not disturb because i didn't want her to bother me. i keep telling her she wakes me up when she calls me. i'm glad that i don't have to see her or talk to her anymore soon.

anyway, i want to hear what other people think. i think sn will always be a popular method just because of the ease of access, but hanging seems easy to do if you have a indoor location.

I am in the same boat, I have my sn coming (fingers crossed it is pure enough) and I have my rope set up if it fails. I can't figure out how to pass out no matter how many times I try so even if sn is unpleasant if I know I will be out in 15 I feel I can handle it. Personally women go through things that I feel would be more painful, birth, miscarriages. I had an allergy attack recently that lasted over an hour and I felt like I was dying with it coming out of both ends so if it's 15 minutes in comparison to over an hour it doesn't seem too bad, as long as it fully works. I'd prefer to hang as it is less than a minute to pass out but I can't find my sweet spot

i'm the same way. i'm really sorry about your allergy attack. when i have cramps or have bad motion sickness i feel really awful, but if i knew i only had to feel nauseous and in pain for 15 minutes i'd wait out the 15 minutes instead of trying to attempt hanging. the thought of dying in such a small amount of time relaxes me even though i'm afraid of the pain. i've never been able to pass out from partial hanging, so i don't think it's an option for me either. i'm very jealous of the people that have been able to pass out, because i would've attempted and not come back a long time ago if i knew how to do it. whenever i attempted full suspension hanging while my family was asleep i would freak out, gag, and flail around just after a few seconds of hanging in the air. it's very hard for me to relax or stay calm while i'm doing it, so i don't imagine choosing to do it if i can take sn.

I wanted hanging instead of SN because you could pass out supposedly in less than a minute, but yeah, every single time I tried full or partial I just felt choking, pain, gagging and nothing close to passing out and I've passed out before so I know what it should feel like. I've watched the videos of other people and even the ones who seem to do it's spur of the moment with a cloth or scarf, no real rope or knots they also seem to go out quick, I only saw one where she was on a ladder where it seemed like it took her longer than everyone else to pass out. It seemed more peaceful in videos than sn but I don't know if it's just that certain people can't do it because of anatomy or if it's a mental thing that's stopping us subconsciously :/ also the death in 15 minutes vs 40 was a pro but guess it doesn't work for everyone even though it seems to be the oldest method

Hanging when done right correctly will knock the brain out before SI could react enough to survive. Lots of hanging videos I've seen it's like 4-7 seconds hanging and they pass out followed by twicth and spasm from the leftover muscle power, they're already black out at this point.

SN pretty much killed you already when ingested in the lethal amount, the one I see about SN seems to suffer from vomiting that looked uncomfortable, I'm not sure if he's still conscious at that point.

It seems to be pretty difficult to do hanging correctly, I've tried partial and full with the rope in different placements pre-tightened in the correct knots, and have not been able to pass out once sadly. What I've seen of three sn videos is it seems like all of them throw up at least once if not more then laid there uncomfortable until they were out. I'd prefer hanging as it's quicker but can't figure it out for it being so simple

With full, have you actually hung by your neck and full weight? You'd think the weight would cut off circulation regardless.

Just wondering what you tried for full. I mean, I can stand there and try to put pressure to blackout, but I don't think that's really the case. I think we just need a step forward and get it over with. Is that what you're trying? I'm also just trying to do it a few times to see if I can get used to it. So I can finally get over with.

Yes I was fully hanging by my neck and the rope, at first it was fine then I felt blood pooling in my head and a choking then gagging feeling. No passing out. Felt like 5-7 seconds with no sense of passing out coming so I got back on the chair.

Replied to someone else in this thread describing it. I was fully hanging, not just pressure

Didn't that cause lasting harm to your neck?

It hurt to swallow, touch my neck, have fabric touch my neck to be honest, and eating was uncomfortable for like 2 to 3 days. I just kept reapplying a bruise gel to try and make it heal faster. I had some some small red spots where the rope was from broken blood vessels and a faint line on part of my neck, but besides that there was nothing else.
