Ever wondered growing up without recognizing what others feel. Kinda like your missing "something" to have better communication with other human beings. I know there's a specific term (or two) for what I'm referring to but please share me your thoughts about it

uff, yeah. i think i sacrificed a lot of my personality and the control over my body because of "hostile" environment.
karen horney's books on neuroses are great about this - how a child creates a mental illness, a dysfunctional
personality so it can cope with the lack of love. narcissism is a famous example of this
