So gona buy some rope tomorrow but insure if it comes acrosss as suspicious gona go local hardware store just have this feeling that I'll get to the till and the cashier will question my motives for buying it

It's a method I'd consider but I worry I wouldn't do it right and end up with a rope mark/bruises round my neck. Which is very obvious what you were doing!

Rope is always good to have on hand. Bought mine a few years ago and still waiting for the right time to use it.
