the night before I am about to start middle school.
I lie in bed and this is what I tell myself :
"Listen you are about to start middle school.
It's no joke anymore, it's not elementary shcool.
Focus only on studies, not on the social aspect of school.
It doesn't mattet if you won't have friends.
Focus only on studies so that you will excell.
Also, eat vegan and drink only water.
Every other day, exercise for 30 minutes on the bicycle machine in the gym.
Never watch porn or masturbate, it will destroy you.
And when you graduate from high school, study accountancy".

I wish I told myself those things that night.
My life would be totally different right now.

I would not have let my guard down in the few mongamous relationships I've had in the past ten years and got hiv. I would have had a test sooner so it didn't get as far as it did. I would have chosen a different career, with a job that would always be in demand. I would have realised that confidence doesn't increase as you get older, sometimes it disappears completely. I would have made more of my only child's childhood and not wished it away.

I was a really sick kid mentally. I wanted to die but was too scared to do it, and I didn't know how. I would deny reality to escape and it totally drove me insane. I would do everything differently. I would try to be more in touch with myself and learn how to control all the rage I felt.
