Gas powered generator in car?

Instead of this charcoal burner method, could anyone comment on using a gas-powered generator in a car?

It's been done. Of course along with the CO, which is invisible and odorless, you'll have to breathe, and suffer through, all of the other noxious gases created by the combustion process.
