Binaural beats can be a pretty effective tool in management of symptoms. Put on some decent quality headphones, listen to the full file, and give it a shot. You lose nothing by trying, right?

I don't have it myself thankfully but I've heard it can be horrible. Thanks for sharing this information, I'm going to tell a friend and see if it helps.

How long does this fix it for?

If it's an ongoing issue, they will likely have to do it regularly. It's very hard to quantify and very much depends on the individual's level of severity and how chronic the issue is, I think. That goes with most binaural frequencies. Some of them can fix the use permanently, while others take ongoing inquiry into the root cause.

(Pardon my ignorance, I am guessing and had a beer).

This is not a cure/fix, this can be done with any music/sounds. You are simply over-shouting the tinnitus. I have some very small amount of tinnitus on one ear and can never hear it if I have even low volume music on.

Beer sounds good. This is bioresonance. The idea is that every disease, pathogen emits a frequency. Sending that same frequency back to the issue at hand can destroy the pathogen in question. It sounds woo woo, but this method has worked for me on a large variety of issues that are not hearing-related. Of course, I ain't a doctor soooo, yeah, people just kind of have to try it and see.
