I think it's the purity change? I don't know for sure, so I want to know this too.

Both forms of SN are goo to CTB as long as they are > 95% purity.
I really doubt the food grade form would make such a big difference on vomiting, because even though the food might version could potentially have less traits of some "harmful" components, the SN itself is seen as something harmful by the body, and this is probably what is causing the vomiting.

for this purpose it is same actually, food grade has no impurities that would break quality of curing meat
