In the aftermath of the Kirk spectacle, the FBI and DOJ have now gone on to covering up radical extremism from their side (https://www.404media.co/doj-deletes-study-showing-domestic-terrorists-are-most-often-right-wing/) in favor of blaming trans people for the extremism in this country. As more information has been released regarding the shooter, it has become clearer that he was not an extreme leftist, nor an extreme right winger, nor trans. The most likely scenario is pointing to him personally just really not liking Kirk, and the motivations of which are still unclear as he has not made any statements to law enforcement. However that has not stopped tabloids and the GOP from running away with the narrative that a roommate was trans, and their lover. This information has yet to be properly corroborated and we're really just running on the FBI saying "trust me bro". Remember folks, this is the same FBI that recently had Kash Patel lie in a recent hearing (https://newrepublic.com/article/200611/trump-epstein-scam-implodes-kash-patel-buckles-dem-grilling) about the Epstein case, so don't think for a second that they wouldn't lie about an alleged trans connection in the Tyler Robinson case.

That all said, this pretext is all now being used as justification to further push legal sanctions against trans folk in the US. If successful, it will make lives for us significantly worse as every form of trans expression becomes something worth legal scrutiny and investigation. Combined with the Jimmy Kimmel firing a few days ago, and it's really stinking like 1930's Germany here.

Considering this and also payment processors and websites cracking down on such heinous depravities like "cat ears", "elves", "Mrs. Doubtfire" and "singular .jpeg of two characters having sex where we cannot tell if that's consensual or not" that shit is looking more and more like they are burning down the Hirschfeld institute again.

I can only hope everything does somehow, miraculously, turn out alright. But if not, well,....

dude don't worry this is just the fbi's opinion that will have absolutely no bearing on reality whatsoever lmaololzors

The people who finger-wagged at me saying I was overreacting about P2025 before the election have all gone really quiet. "It'll never happen" didn't mean shit after all.

(Human) history repeating itself was sort of excusable when we didn't have intact comprehensive records of the past readily available to almost every living person 24/7. It hasn't even been a century since the 3rd reich and the fourth is upon us. adolf rose to power by legitimate electoral means. all the asshats in that other thread extolling "democracy" as the ultimate system of protecting humanity is really something

This is horrifying. Half of the US population is cheering for this. I feel like I'm going insane.

The absurdity of this would be laughable if it weren't so scary. I forget what the numbers are, and it's always dicey since it is so scary to be out as a transgender person in most parts of the world so I suspect there are more than we know... but it's what 1% or fewer of the population that are transgender?

I mean, if every single transgender person in the world were radicalized and funded and loaded with all the weapons... there would be literally no threat to everyone else. I mean, it's already horrible to oppress and isolate and traumatize anyone or any group... but a group so small it not only couldn't possibly be a threat even if it wanted, but can't really defend itself at all... and even though there are a lot of allies, of which I consider myself one, there also aren't enough of us who make a difference.

But this is a "threat" worth tackling somehow. I hate, but at least understand, the usual political tactic of dividing the people over a wedge issue to get what you want while everyone argues over something they don't give two shits about... but this one, attacking transgender people as if they are the most powerful terrorist organization in the world, is completely baffling to me.

Prejudice doesn't make sense here... because groups like the neo-nazis and KKK aren't going as hard at all the different people they hate right now as this administration is going at the transgender community. If you try and look at this objectively, to try and figure out an angle, there's just no way it makes any kind of sense.

IF they wiped out all transgender people in the world (and that would be so horrible... I can't imagine it)... what would they gain by doing so? What's the endgame here?
