Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

hi, do you know if very severe scoliosis (40+ degrees) alongside cardiomegaly applies for this? i know scoliosis is fixable but it requires a ton of money (which i don't have) and it causes me a TON of pain and difficulties daily, though i'd assume they charge foreigners for this anyway i'm just curious
Switzerland in the only country that accepts foreigners for euthanasia and the price for euthanasia was 10,000 euros, but that was 10-15 years ago. Prices are probably upped by now :(
How else are those Belgian doctors going to make a decision? How can a doctor/psychiatrist from another country where euthansia isn't legal give advice on this?

Thank you for the information, yes this and everything else I've seen proves not even euthanasia is the "easy way out". All of it is so difficult and time consuming and exhausting, I can't even bother. I'm too tired.

This is simply not true. Belgium will accept foreigners who request euthanasia in case of unbearable physical suffering (terminal cancer for instance). Most foreigners come from France.
I don't know what they're charged, but it would surprise me if it's 10.000 euro.

thank you too!! i'll check it out then just out of curiosity because if they do charge i can't do anything lmao
edit: i was reading it, it does say they apply it for heart disease like strokes and musculoskeletal problems but not sure if mine would be even considered that grave since they have a solution?
another edit: think it's pointless since i need to not only go there out fo my own money i need to go through medical procedures there so they can deem it incurable and grant me euthanasia so.. i'll just stick to SN
This guy was 25 and passed screening for euthanasia in Belgium despite that a huge part of his issue was angst over an ex. He was also in downright toxic online communities that were definitely fueling all of his neuroses
I thought his talking about being approved for euthanasia was delusion until I saw his obituary posted in an actual funeral home website.
His chosen date was fucking Valentine's Day. No one raised an eyebrow at this I guess? TBF I guess it did still take him 3 years which is a while but seems like evaluating psychologists failed hard with this and didn't know half of what was actually going on with him. He would not have been approved if they knew that he was killing himself in large part over an ex who wouldn't give him closure and that he was openly saying her refusal to do so was leading to his death.

I think we should avoid openly speculating about specific members who are no longer on the site. It's one thing to have conversations about things you disagree with, but this person is no longer here to respond to anything, and their last post was indicating they would get euthanasia soon.
