is electrocution in a tub a decent method? what could make it work quick and actually be fatal?

i've heard the toaster bath joke thing a lot but i've never heard of someone actually even attempting with that method. there are more reliable methods out there surely

i remember in my high school chem class having to watch a news doc of girl who accidentally electrocuted herself in the tub. it seemed quick, and was obviously fatal. i think it was a phone charger or something innocent like that. im curious is it's actually possible

It is possible... Anything that is a live wire that is frayed (basically the plastic/rubber coating is broken) plugged in dump into water with you inside the tub WILL kill you.

I suggest you investigate executions on the electric chair. Then you will notice how reliable that method really is.

It's a very unpleasant way to die. Moost likely u end up in a hospital with severe injuries but not dead.

There are occasional fatal electrocutions in bathtubs: it does happen but it's generally a freak accident and not something you could consider reliable. The Hollywood trope of the toaster in the tub is a bit of a myth. Modern building codes also require ground fault circuit protection (RCD/GFCI) especially in high risk areas like bathrooms and these are designed to cut off the current before serious injury can occur.

Even aside from all that, electric shock is painful and has the potential to cause burns. It's not peaceful or painless by any stretch.

It almost certainly won't work. The electrics will trip instantly unless there's a fault or you manage to override it somehow. Even then, there's no guarantee it'd kill you.
